A New Community Choir in Mill Park
Wednesdays 10am to 12pm @ Miller Community Centre
Welcome to the Song Circle
Sing with your friends and neighbours in a brand new community choir, led by a professional musical director, Craig M. Wood.
The Song Circle is a weekly, casual, drop-in community choir for anyone, everyone, and all levels of ability.
Each session combines uplifting songs, simple vocal techniques, ensemble singing, plenty of encouragement, and the some time for a cuppa and conversation!
Expect a diverse mix of repertoire, from folk and gospel to pop, jazz, traditional songs and contemporary favourites.
Want to Join?
Our very first rehearsal is July 15th. Anyone can come along and try it out! You can just turn up on the day, but if you follow this QR code, or the button below, it'll take you the booking page to register. You can reserve a spot and pay on the day, or pay in advance if that what you'd prefer.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Where is it?
We get together in the Activity Room at the Miller Community Centre in Mill Park. There's a car park available, including multiple accessibility spaces, and the nearest bus stop is Mayfield Dr/Plenty Rd, an (approx) 200m walk from the venue.

About Craig (They/Them)
Craig has been all over the place.
Raised in the vibrant Tasmania art scene, Craig cut their teeth in cutting edge, avant-garde opera, before getting their Music Theatre Voice degree and spending the next 20 years professionally freelancing all over the industry, and up and down the eastern seaboard. They've taught in schools, private, public, and extra-curricular, flown all over the country writing operas with teens, as well as Musically Directed countless shows and ensembles, premiering original works, and dabbling in all sorts of other performance shenanigans along the way.
Craig has recently relocated to Melbourne from Port Macquarie, NSW, where they had conducted and led the three biggest choirs in the region, as well as various other vocal and instrumental ensembles. Renowned for their energetic, entertaining, and uplifting leadership, they're very excited to start making music and connections in their new home!
