Craig M Wood Music Teacher Singing Lessons Mill Park

About Craig (They/Them)

Craig has been all over the place.

Raised in the vibrant Tasmania art scene, Craig cut their teeth in avant-garde opera, before getting their Music Theatre Voice degree and spending the next 20 years professionally freelancing all over the industry, and up and down the eastern seaboard. They've taught in schools, private, public, and extra-curricular, flown all over the country writing operas with teens, as well as Musically Directed countless shows, premiering original works, and dabbling in all sorts of other performance shenanigans along the way.

The Ethos

Music is air. We all breathe it, in our own way. Deep, shallow, long, short, the oxygen is what keeps us going.

We're all a varied combination of atoms though, each built different, so the way we learn, the way we experience music is also infinitely varied.

How does that translate to music lessons?

What's getting in the way of you breathing easily? Technique? Feel? Maybe confidence? Knowledge? Experience? Even time or opportunity?

That's the basis of our lessons. What's in the way of you breathing the way you want to, and what can we do about it?

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to do exams?

Absolutely not! Exams can be a great way to mark progress and set goals, but they are only one of a myriad of ways to do that. Lessons are based around your needs and learning style, so if exams suit you, great, but they are definitely an opt-in choice that comes from the student.

How do I pay?

It's pay as you go, so...

What if I can't attend a booked lesson?

Life happens, and priorities change from day-to-day, and the world never stops spinning.
